Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at Altum Consulting. As a key member of our Accounting & Finance team, you will be responsible for processing and verifying invoices and expense reports, maintaining and updating financial records, and performing reconciliations of accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices and expense reports for business services, rents, and generic costs
  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts payable transactions, including bank statements and credit card statements
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including wire transfers and ACH payments
  • Assist in month-end duties, including closing out accounts and preparing financial reports
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting & Finance team, including data entry and document preparation
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations, including SOX and GAAP

Requirements:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
