Job Title: Teaching Professional for Pupil Referral Unit

Location: North London

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate teaching professional to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching secondary school students who are at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with various learning requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists to provide a comprehensive support system for students.
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them develop confidence and independence.
  • Work closely with the school leadership team to ensure the effective implementation of educational programs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience will be considered.
  • A clear and up-to-date DBS.
  • Experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
