About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at IHG - Kimpton Fitzroy London. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and sweet goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and sweet goods.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to ensure high-quality service and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a global hotel brand or restaurant of similar size and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of local cuisine and experience in catering meetings, social events, restaurants, and bars.
  • Level 2 Food Safety certification and working knowledge of HACCP.
  • Knowledge of IHG brand standards and ability to create and deliver dishes to meet guest requests and exceed expectations.
