About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our client, a global charity, in a busy in-house legal team. The successful candidate will provide specialist legal advice with strategic insight and commercial awareness, while managing risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Provide expert advice on devising, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements, including commercial contracts, supplier terms, collaboration agreements, and memoranda of understanding.
  • Legal and Compliance: Identify, analyze, and advise on a broad range of legal, compliance, and regulatory issues, including contractual matters, charity law compliance, data protection and privacy, employment, anti-bribery and corruption, commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing, brand management and protection, and competition law.
  • Operational Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to improve operational working practices and systems, working closely with the General Counsel and other key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay up to date with external developments relevant to the organization and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within the group.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent.
  • 4+ years PQE.
  • Ideal candidate will have in-house legal experience.
  • Strong commercial contracting experience is essential, including confidence in drafting, advising on, and negotiating complex contracts, including intellectual property and licensing.
