3D AutoCAD Design Manager

A seasoned Design Manager is required by a busy regional main contractor to lead Design Management on multiple projects in the South East region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and design, with excellent technical and commercial knowledge.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the design development for projects;
- Chairing regular design team meetings;
- Managing consultant design teams;
- Reviewing construction design information for buildability and compliance;
- Managing specialist sub-contractor design teams;
- Ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of detailed design information for procurement and construction.

The company is a well-established southern main contractor with a proven track record in delivering projects across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and commercial. The company values high standards, attention to detail, and a drive to deliver on programme, specification, and budget.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong planning and problem-solving ability, and a positive approach. They will also have a proven track record of successful project delivery with a recognized Tier 1 or 3 main contractor in a Design Management role.
