Staffline Driving is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team for a Day Driver position. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to RDCs
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
  • Collaborate with other drivers and operations team members to ensure smooth logistics operations

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 license
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg)

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a fast-paced logistics environment with frequent travel to RDCs. You will be required to work a 4-day rolling rota, with shift lengths averaging 11 hours. You will also be required to work weekends and public holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver with Staffline Driving, you will receive a competitive PAYE rate, with weekday rates of £17.50 and Saturday rates of £18.50. You will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including access to our employee assistance program and opportunities for career development.
