Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing professional to join our team as a Visiting Professor of Nursing Fundamentals. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching nursing students in a clinical setting, providing direct supervision and evaluation, and contributing to the development of the nursing program.
Responsibilities:- Teach nursing students in a clinical setting, utilizing the nursing process to implement basic aspects of nursing practice.
- Provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing program.
- Participate in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental policies.
- Master's Degree in Nursing Required
- 2 years experience within last five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse required.
- Excellent communication skills with high level of initiative and prudent judgment.
- Professional Nurse licensure is required in the state of practice.
The expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's education and experience.
