Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our client, a well-known dealership group, as part of their in-house legal team.

Key Responsibilities

* Advise the business on all legal issues relating to agreements, litigation, consumer complaints, planning, and ad hoc property projects
* Manage civil litigation claims from beginning to end, including drafting responses, Proceedings, and Particulars of Claim/Defence
* Liaise and negotiate with lenders on rates, terms, operating agreements, and consumer complaints
* Identify and rationalise legal risk, ensuring legal input to internal governance and compliance processes
* Contribute to policy, process, and guidance on legal issues
* Prepare and deliver in-house training on legal topics
* Liaise with and manage external legal services providers
* Complete internal and external reporting requirements, including FCA returns

Requirements

* Strong legal knowledge and experience in commercial and regulatory law
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
