About the Role:


As a SEND Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in assisting children with SEND by formulating and overseeing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

You will manage a portfolio of children, ensuring their EHCPs are current and accurately reflect their changing requirements.

This position entails close collaboration with families, educational institutions, and various organizations to secure optimal outcomes for the youth in our community.


Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Coordination:
Lead a collaborative approach to assessment and planning, treating young individuals and their families as integral partners.

Caseload Oversight:

Act as the primary contact for children requiring SEND assessments or EHCPs, ensuring their needs are addressed through effective planning and support.


Communication:

Serve as the main liaison for schools, colleges, and specialized institutions, both within and outside the local jurisdiction.


Collaborative Meetings:
Facilitate meetings, evaluate diverse reports, and provide informed recommendations.

Family Engagement:
Connect with families to address SEND support challenges and direct them to suitable services.

Monitoring and Reporting:
Oversee the provision and progress of children with EHCPs, ensuring the achievement of their specified outcomes.

Resource Management:
Ensure effective utilization of SEND funding and resources, advising on access and personal budgets.

Legal Advocacy:
Represent the organization in mediations and hearings concerning SEND matters.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:
A graduate-level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Education, Social Work, Health-related fields, Educational Psychology) is essential. Postgraduate qualifications or specialized certifications related to SEND are advantageous.

Experience:

Proven experience working with children and young individuals with SEND in educational or health environments, and effective collaboration with various organizations.


Skills:
Exceptional communication, strong organizational abilities, analytical skills, and proficiency in IT applications.

Knowledge:
