Job Title: Mobile Service Technician

Location: Field-based, covering the south of England, with a focus on the M4/M3 Corridor

Rate of Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus On-Call Allowance, Opportunities for Overtime, and Company Vehicle & Fuel

Our Service Division is seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is in top working condition.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the fault-finding, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of a range of vehicle-mounted Traffic Management equipment & trailers, primarily on customer-owned sites.
  • Completing preventative maintenance and field modifications to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Keeping up-to-date on administrative responsibilities, including completing job/service sheets in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring your company-supplied van is in good working order and fully equipped with tools and supplies at all times.
  • Communicating effectively and politely with customers at all levels.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry innovations and best practices.
  • Collaborating with our sales team to identify additional opportunities for products and services within your designated service territory.
  • Liaising with relevant team members to estimate and advise on equipment repair costs, providing recommendations regarding damage and recharge to customers.
  • Adhering to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in 12/24v electrical systems and basic hydraulic repairs.
  • Competence in navigating circuit diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles.
  • Experience in the repair & maintenance of traffic management equipment is preferred but not essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Portrays enthusiasm, passion, and ambition to learn and develop.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • The ability to liaise with colleagues and customers on a professional level, using good communication/interpersonal skills.
