About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Programme Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our Less-than-Truckload (LTL) business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Supply Strategy: Define the supply strategy approach for Amazon Freight LTL, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  2. Research and Benchmark Cost Targets: Conduct research to establish cost targets that support Amazon Freight LTL's profitability, and benchmark against industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with program, product, internal carrier, and procurement teams to define and align on carrier profiles, performance expectations, and procurement approach.
  4. Shape Program Vision and Scope: Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the program's vision and scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  5. Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Lead a team of professionals in overcoming challenges and driving progress, ensuring successful program delivery.
  6. Manage Stakeholders and Processes: Manage stakeholders and internal processes, defining standards and ensuring efficient program execution.
A Day in the Life

As a Procurement Programme Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You will work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise.

About the Team

Amazon's ATS team plays a central role in our success, using air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Experience in End-to-End Delivery: Proven experience in driving end-to-end delivery, communicating results to senior leadership, and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Program Requirements: Experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Process Implementation: Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quicksight: Experience with Quicksight or similar data analytics tools.
