Job Overview:
First Military Recruitment is collaborating with a leading International Defence organization seeking to hire multiple Electronics Instruction Specialists on a permanent basis due to expansion at their Gosport facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver academic technical and laboratory training modules, including mathematics, to trainees/students in accordance with the DCTT EMTC Course Documentation and as instructed by the DTM, encompassing both distributed training and distance learning.
Provide guidance on training design where materials need updates or improvements, and contribute Subject Matter Expert (SME) input as necessary.
Maintain a personal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio regarding new technologies and training methodologies.Ensure lesson plans and training sessions align with the approved syllabi.
Review course content to guarantee it remains relevant and adapts to advancements in equipment and technology, utilizing the most effective training aids.
If necessary, provide detailed feedback for Course Design.Offer coaching and mentoring to students/trainees to maximize course benefits and achieve high pass rates.
Monitor student/trainee development through feedback, appraisal, discipline, and training interventions, ensuring all documentation is maintained and any special developmental needs or training delays are communicated to the DTM.
Deliver remedial training and revision as required.Manage student administration, including course reports and training records. Participate in Course Debriefs as required by the DTM.
Ensure cleanliness, security, health and safety, and environmental hygiene within training areas, making sure all students are aware of these standards.
Ensure understanding and implementation of DCTT EMTC Standing Orders and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures during all work tasks.
Engage in presentations to agencies and visitors.Perform any additional duties as directed by your line manager, within reason.
Assessment of Trainees:
Develop written/digital examination and progress test papers.
Create practical assessment scenarios and continuous assessments.
Grade examination papers, set and mark course and homework, and invigilate examinations and assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum qualification at level 6 on the National Framework in an engineering discipline.
Experience in instructing technical subjects within a military context.
CET level 4 or equivalent (or willingness to complete).
Proven proficiency in utilizing IT (hardware/software) in the workplace.
