We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Kleboe Jardine Ltd. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientific team in testing products and services offered by the company.
Key Responsibilities- Optimize and run cell-based assays, including viability, cell counts, apoptosis, cytotoxicity, ELISA, DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, and RT-PCR.
- Prepare samples for flow cytometry and perform FACS analysis.
- Report results of QC assays and raise issues as they arise.
- Prepare and ship samples and plates to outsourced providers and clients.
- Develop and maintain standard QC SOPs.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of Certificates of Analysis.
- Assist with drug testing, including the creation and execution of dosing plans and data reviews.
- Develop new in-house assays to meet client needs and expand Kleboe Jardine Ltd's offering.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory of frozen samples.
- Keep the Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling) updated and create reports as required.
- Assist with the implementation of new quality measures and standards.
- Develop and contribute to internal development projects to advance Kleboe Jardine Ltd's offering.
- Contribute to the writing of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- 2+ years' experience performing assays in an industry setting.
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a quality environment such as GLP/GMP.
- Demonstrable experience of performing DNA/RNA extractions, flow cytometry, PCR, RT-PCR, and ELISA.
- Experience performing 3D cell culture.
- Demonstrable experience in statistical data analysis interpretation and visualization.
- Proficient in using MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Diligent approach to data recording.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask several projects simultaneously.
- Creative approach to problem-solving.
- Proactive, friendly, approachable, and displays a positive attitude.
- Histology techniques, including sample processing, microtomy, cryotomy, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry.
- Strong oncology knowledge, including markers.
- Experience in analyzing patient databases, genetic, and bioinformatics data.
- Experience using or programming liquid handling robotics.
