Community Adult Perinatal Psychiatry Specialist Doctor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Adult Perinatal Psychiatry Specialist Doctor to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support to our community adult perinatal mental health service, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, Senior Trainees, and Core Trainees.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, managing, planning, and delivering care to adults with mental health needs, across Redbridge, Havering, and Barking and Dagenham. You will work directly with adult patients and their families, liaising as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with adult patients and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Develop links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
- Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
- Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member while working on their own initiative.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
