Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP team, providing engineering support to high-profile international brands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing small to medium-scale projects and individual engineering tasks, creating and finalising engineering design solutions for electrical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform design decisions.
  • Undertake design calculations using various methods, including hand calculations and software-based modelling.
  • Prepare drawn information and technical specifications for electrical services.
  • Write technical reports and peer review design information prepared by others.
  • Manage project-specific teams of engineers and allocate workload to meet defined targets and deadlines.
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects, including income and costs.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships on specific projects.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing and new client relationships.
  • Take responsibility for own professional and personal development.
  • Contribute to the professional and personal development of team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of building services consultancy design experience.
  • A degree qualification in Electrical or Building Services (Chartered or working towards).
  • Proficiency in software design, including Microsoft Office, Amtech, Dialux, and Autodesk Revit MEP.
  • Knowledge of British standards and building regulations documents.
  • Professional membership (CIBSE, IET, IMechE).
