Assistant Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our Property Services team at Quinn London Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager in ensuring the smooth delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in coordinating site activities and ensuring compliance with project timelines.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager and Project Surveyor to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and potential issues.
  • Monitor and control subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contract programs and addressing any delays or issues.
  • Collaborate with the Company Buyer to ensure timely ordering of materials and equipment.
  • Attend regular progress meetings with the project team and subcontractors to discuss project status and address any concerns.

Health and Safety:

  • Conduct inductions and ensure all subcontractors are aware of Quinn London Ltd's safety requirements, including CSCS cards and method statements.
  • Regularly inspect scaffolding and hoists to ensure they are safe and compliant.
  • Assist the Site Manager in maintaining accurate records and storing paperwork in the correct place.
  • Ensure welfare facilities are properly maintained, serviced, and clean.

Control of Site Costs, Labour, and Quality Control:

  • Record and track contra-charges, ensuring the Project Surveyor is informed.
  • Control QLL site labour, ensuring quality of workmanship and minimizing excess labour.
  • Ensure the site is secure at all times, with perimeter fencing kept tidy and all signage posted.
  • Assist the Site Manager in snagging subcontractor work and ensuring plant is off-hired promptly.
