Key Responsibilities

Copello Global is partnering with a defence technology business to develop innovative solutions in cyber and communications. We are seeking a Systems Architect to join our team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Systems Engineering team, Business Development team, and senior stakeholders to drive new opportunities and contribute to technical bids and proposals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and driving revenue opportunities
  • Developing and owning the bid solution, including logical, functional, and physical architectures
  • Designing the engineering strategy required to deliver solutions
  • Applying technical knowledge to make informed decisions and identify further opportunities
  • Collaborating with the solution architectures and wider team to quantify opportunities
  • Highlighting and demonstrating awareness of current and future capabilities with a cost and risk-based approach
  • Leading the Engineering team, specifically the Systems Engineering team
  • Some line management responsibility, including development and mentoring of other engineers

To be considered, the successful Systems Architect will have experience in the following areas:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar systems engineering/architectural design role
  • Full knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and development models
  • Experience in strategy, planning, and design of complex solutions
  • Identifying business development growth and opportunities
  • Proven experience operating and working within the defence domain

It is an essential requirement for the Systems Architect to be eligible for DV Clearance. The role is based in Berkshire and will require around 25% travel to other/customer sites.
