About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and supporting new technical products and services to support our business and its ambitious digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and construct digital and technical products
  • Collaborate within a team to set the technical direction for supported products
  • Establish a robust automated test suite for seamless integration into a continuous deployment environment
  • Provide 2nd line support for applications and platforms, occasionally beyond regular office hours
  • Actively drive the enterprise Agile and transformation journey
Requirements
  • Experience with Java (ideally 17), Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka
  • Strong technical expertise in Java, Sprint Boot, and Microservices
  • Expertise in microservices, database programming, event streaming, and queueing technologies in a cloud-based environment
  • Worked on technical projects within cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and practice of code quality techniques like continuous integration, unit testing, and peer reviews
  • Rapid research and adaptation to new programming tools and techniques
  • Experience in building and scaling high-traffic websites or mission-critical line-of-business systems
  • Automated integration and acceptance testing experience, preferably with a BDD framework
