About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Investigation Engineer to join our national ground investigation team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join Tetra Tech's 90-strong national geo-environmental resource.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations, primarily in the north of England, with occasional sites across the UK.
  • Oversee site works, including larger value sites across the UK.
  • Collaborate with experienced team members to provide mentoring and support for professional development.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in geology or a related field.
  • Experience in ground investigation, including logging of soil and rock to BS5930, supervision of site works, groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in IT.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental management, as applied to ground investigation.
  • Full, preferably clean, driving license.
  • Strong team player with excellent social, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • CSCS card relevant to the position.
  • SMSTS training.
  • Cat and Genny training.
  • First Aid training.
  • Experience with the Openground suite of software.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, including preparing health and safety documentation.
  • Preparing ground investigation works, including booking subcontractors.
  • Security Cleared.
  • Understanding of project finances.
