Job Title: Community Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Community Support Worker to join our team in the Adult Disability Service at Lancashire County Council.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, working 16 hours per week, with various hours available including sleep-ins and weekend working. As a Community Support Worker, you will be working with individuals in their own homes, providing support with daily living tasks, personal care, and household chores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and well-being
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Support individuals to participate in activities and engage with their community
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality support
  • Empathetic and understanding nature, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles and practices
  • Reliable and punctual, with a flexible approach to working hours
