Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in the Industrial Chemicals division. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling chemicals and services across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with our Sales Manager and Business Development team to establish and implement sales plans, promoting our portfolio of chemicals and services to maximize sales and meet budget expectations.
  • Customer Relationships: Act as a key point of contact between our company and customers, answering technical and commercial enquiries, making regular customer visits, and introducing new chemicals and/or principals as required.
  • Sales Performance: Bear responsibility and accountability for all sales of chemicals within your sales area, organizing and planning sales visits, attending trade exhibitions, conferences, sales meetings, and training as required.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively with our team to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
  • Professional Development: Undertake professional development training to enhance your sales skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Chemistry/Science Background: Chemistry or Science graduate or equivalent.
  • Technical Experience: Experience of working within a technical environment.
  • Field Sales Experience: Some field sales experience in the chemical industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Business Acumen: Business acumen and some commercial experience is desirable.
  • Driving License: Clean and current UK driving license.
  • Travel: Comfortable with the volume of travelling required to cover the territory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of c£40,000 per annum basic, plus car, bonus, and benefits.
