Our organization is thrilled to announce an opening for a Project Coordinator dedicated to advancing our sustainability education initiatives on both national and international levels.

This position is perfect for an individual passionate about reshaping education to address climate justice, collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders including educational institutions, governmental bodies, and labor organizations.


In this role, the successful applicant will cultivate and maintain a robust network of students, educators, university staff, activists, public servants, and others, contributing to the development of transformative educational programs and playing a crucial role in facilitating educational reform.


ROLE DETAILS

Location:

Remote work is available throughout the UK, with options for London-based staff to utilize the office part-time.

Working hours: 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE, typically from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The position involves regular travel across the UK, including early starts and late returns, with potential for international travel and approximately 10 overnight stays annually. Travel demands may vary seasonally. Remote workers are expected to engage in regular home-based work. Flexible working arrangements, condensed hours, and job-sharing opportunities can be discussed.

International collaboration may require coordination across different time zones, occasionally necessitating early or late work hours, which can be compensated with Time Off In Lieu.


Compensation:
Starting salary of £30,413 per annum, increasing to £34,702. London-based roles will receive an additional London weighting of £3,405 per annum. The organization offers up to a 6% pension contribution, along with life insurance for all pension scheme participants. Annual guaranteed salary increments and a cost of living adjustment policy are in place.

Contract Type:
Fixed-term contract for two years, with the possibility of extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Coordinator will primarily oversee the implementation of our educational programs, including Responsible Futures. Key responsibilities include:
  • Effectively manage the delivery of Responsible Futures at designated organizations, customizing approaches to meet local needs and institutional contexts.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for students and staff at assigned institutions.
  • Design and facilitate engaging training sessions and tailored support for your assigned organizations as part of established programs and bespoke consultancy projects.
  • Supervise the Responsible Futures student staff member.
