Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Branch/Yard Assistant to join our team in Inverurie. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customers with product and service information, ensuring they receive the best possible experience.
  • Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Process orders accurately and within the timeframes dictated by customers, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Serve customers on the trade counter, providing a welcoming and helpful experience.
  • Interact with customers, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and some customer service experience.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • A hardworking and helpful individual, willing to learn and develop skills in all aspects of our operation.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety in a work environment, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Warehouse experience, with a proven track record of efficiency and accuracy.
  • A good knowledge of computers, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • A forklift truck license, with experience in operating heavy machinery.
