Lead Software Architect / Senior Developer (Python Node React) Hybrid WFH to £110k

This is a unique opportunity to take on the role of Lead Software Architect at a HealthTech Start-up, established by two accomplished management consultants with a prestigious educational background, focused on enhancing patient and social care services.

In your capacity as Lead Software Architect, you will oversee the comprehensive design and framework of the technology stack for the products. The initial version has been developed using Python, Node, TypeScript, and React, but you will be responsible for making future technical choices and shaping the long-term vision for this innovative product, providing essential technical guidance.

Your role will involve active coding, including intricate business logic, security measures, and authentication processes, as you work across the entire technology stack to develop the beta version. Eventually, you will have the opportunity to build a team around you and advance to the position of CTO or Head of Engineering.

Work Environment:

The organization has a workspace available, and you will be expected to be present there occasionally, while also having the flexibility to work remotely and engage with clients to gather requirements and discuss tailored product development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in software engineering principles, with experience throughout the complete development lifecycle and technology stack
  • Familiarity with the current MVP technologies: Python, Node, TypeScript, and React is advantageous, though candidates from diverse software development backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • Capable of evaluating, recommending, and making informed technical decisions with a focus on long-term product strategy
  • Strong leadership skills in technical project management and experience collaborating with clients
  • Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) systems is a plus
