Programme Management Placement

At Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, we are seeking a talented individual to join our Programme Management team as a Placement Student. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the delivery of Power Unit hardware, including ownership and in-season maintenance
  • Manage hardware trackers and shortage status
  • Coordinate product kitting and build request amendments
  • Schedule and prioritize build and test activities
Material Planning:
  • Own and maintain the Power Unit Bill of Material (BoM)
  • Create and manage demand for Power Unit components across multiple projects and programmes
  • Process Engineering Change Notifications
  • Develop bespoke planning strategies for long-lead-time and complex components
Programme Management:

We ensure complex projects are managed through technical and unpredictable stages and gateways. As a team, we pride ourselves on challenging and developing our Placement students, trusting them with significant levels of responsibility from day one.

Requirements:
  • 1st degree or above in a relevant Engineering, Science, or Technology subject
  • Strong academic background in relevant A Level disciplines, such as business studies, economics, maths, or sciences
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage high workloads and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Desire and enthusiasm to deliver innovative solutions and consistently meet challenges
  • Courage to challenge, backed by a methodical, professional, and conscientious approach
  • Ability to work independently and take accountability
  • Confident and adaptable communication style
  • Relentless desire to win and contribute to the team's success
