Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Resilience Coxswain / Mechanic to join our lifesaving Operations team in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated lifesavers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful operation of lifeboat stations in the Scotland region.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to maintain and improve the performance of lifeboats and equipment, ensuring they are always ready for service.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address safety, health, and environmental concerns, promoting a positive culture within the stations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with the public to promote the RNLI's lifesaving work and values.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with assurance and audit systems.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in an operational role, with a strong track record of inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and operational leadership skills, with the ability to command and lead a team in a variety of conditions.
  • Thorough knowledge of maritime operations, with the ability to safely handle and operate boats up to 20 metres in length.
  • Experience working within assurance and audit systems, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental considerations.
  • Ability to live and work within the North of Scotland/Lifesaving Area 1: Aith to Wick region.
