London, Greater London, United Kingdom Sainsbury's Full time

Why become a part of our team
Joining Sainsbury's as a Category Range Strategist offers you the chance to work in a vibrant and cooperative atmosphere where your contributions can significantly enhance both financial outcomes and customer experiences. As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to formulate strategic range goals, unlock additional category spending, and develop assortments that meet ambitious targets while aligning with broader category strategies. With access to extensive resources and support, including commercial analytics, insights teams, and merchandising professionals, you will be equipped to drive category growth and effectively manage intricate projects. Your insights and expertise will be utilized to identify strategic range goals for your category and convert them into actionable plans for range and merchandising execution. Through objective assessment, analysis, and a comprehensive understanding of customer behavior and market dynamics, you will craft assortments that reflect ambitious targets and align with the overarching category strategic direction. Furthermore, you will coordinate efforts with stakeholders, manage projects, conduct post-investment evaluations, provide guidance on range excellence, and collaborate closely with category merchandisers to bring assortments to fruition. Your strategic mindset, ability to prioritize competing demands, and effective project management skills will contribute to the success of your range initiatives in driving category growth and fulfilling customer needs.

Your expertise lies in evaluating range opportunities, conducting data-driven analysis, and translating strategic objectives into actionable plans. With your extensive knowledge of the market landscape, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics, you can identify customer segments, prioritize conflicting demands, and make informed decisions that align with overall business objectives. Your strong project management abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to collaborate with stakeholders enable you to coordinate and execute range initiatives on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You thrive in a dynamic, data-rich environment and excel in synthesizing insights from various sources to create assortments that align with the category vision and broader business strategy.
