The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications to operate 5-15 ton Counterbalance Forklifts, contributing to the efficient and safe handling of cargo during loading and unloading operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and complete required compliance documentation.
  • Assist maintenance personnel as needed with Forklift upkeep.
  • Execute forklift operations in accordance with company protocols and industry standards.
  • Help manage third-party vehicle movements on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of all cargo prior to lifting, focusing on identifying hazards or loose items, and report any non-compliant cargo to the appropriate authority.
  • Support quayside activities and engage in cargo handling and vessel loading/unloading while adhering to operational guidelines and safety standards.
  • Assist in coordinating crane lifting operations and utilize transportation resources to ensure timely vessel turnaround.
  • Communicate effectively with the Quayside Supervisor regarding any issues or delays in cargo operations.
  • Contribute to the daily coordination between lifting operations and other affected departments.
  • Perform additional duties as required based on training and competency assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • RTITB Counter Balance Forklift Certification
