Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Complex Delivery team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in the technical delivery of transformational programs and networks led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
  • Monitor and manage IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
  • Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • SME level experience in a combination of Cisco Routing and Switching, F5 Load Balancers, and Fortinet FortiGate technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network security, including protection of hardware, software, and data from unauthorized access.
  • Ability to stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities.
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills, with the ability to manage and mitigate risks through assessment and support of the control and governance agenda.

  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
