Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Planning Officer to join our team at Matchtech. This role involves managing and processing planning applications, conducting site visits, liaising with applicants and agents, and preparing detailed written reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Processing: Handle all aspects of planning application processes, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Site Visit Coordination: Conduct site visits to assess planning applications, gathering necessary information and data.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with applicants and agents to ensure smooth processing of applications, providing clear and concise information.
  • Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive written reports on planning applications, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • System Utilization: Utilize computer systems such as Uniform, Idox, and MS Teams for daily tasks, ensuring seamless integration and data management.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in dealing with complex householder (H/H) applications and other forms of development, including telecoms, certificates, and prior notifications.
  • Development Management: Previous experience in development management within a local planning authority is essential.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for site visits, as public transport does not cover all areas of Buckinghamshire.
