Engineering Project Manager

Minstrell Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate projects across multiple sites, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and manage the installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met, and expectations are managed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including CDM knowledge and practices.
- An Engineering qualification, to HND or Degree level, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience of projects in manufacturing, automotive, airports, FMCG distribution, or similar fields, with a strong understanding of industry-specific requirements.
- Ideal candidates will have a H&S qualification or strong working knowledge, including IOSH, CDM, or NEBOSH.
- Knowledge of Controls and Automation, with the ability to design and propose alternative solutions when faced with project barriers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ideally MS Project, with the ability to monitor, report, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
- The ability to deliver projects on time and within approved budget, with a balanced and considered approach to problem resolution.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate requirements and facilitate compromises where appropriate.
