IT Infrastructure Lead Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead Engineer to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable IT infrastructure solutions for the internal business and its customers.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the server estate, including desktop, virtual, and physical servers.
  • Develop and maintain high-level designs for IT infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and application services.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the planning and delivery of transformational IT projects.
  • Manage third-party contracts and relationships.
  • Conduct audits and inventory of software systems, licensing, and services.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Excellent technical skills, with expertise in areas such as Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on and lead technical projects, delivering on time and to budget.
  • Flexibility to support the team and business out-of-hours where necessary.
