BAM Nuttall is seeking a highly motivated and organized Commercial Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the commercial team, you will play a crucial role in delivering large civil engineering projects across Scotland.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy.
  • Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation, supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals.
  • Input into Assessed Cost Database or similar cost collation tool.
  • Process Subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with agreed payment terms.
  • Bought ledger invoice clearance, raising queries with suppliers where necessary.
  • Produce cost monitoring reports and collate allocation sheets and records.
  • Maintain document filing system and collate commercial data into regular reports.
  • Analyse collated data and exception reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in general with commercial functions, including attending meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
  • GCSE in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous industry experience would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and progress, with a willingness to increase knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail and IT skills, with proficiency in computer software packages.
