Job Overview

Venesky Brown is collaborating with a leading global infrastructure and construction firm to seek a highly motivated and meticulous Commercial Assistant to join their team based in Kilsyth.

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of procurement processes and overall commercial activities, reviewing requisition requests, processing orders, and providing crucial support in various commercial functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review requisition requests and ensure accurate and timely processing in SAP.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to clarify specifications and requirements.
  • Utilise company portals to place orders for consumables and stationery, ensuring efficient procurement and stock management.
  • Provide valuable support in raising subcontract orders within the SAP system, fostering collaboration with project teams and external partners.
  • Issue clear and concise correspondence to suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing queries promptly.
  • Organise and collate delivery tickets for accurate record-keeping and streamlined logistics management.
  • Ensure bought ledger invoice clearance within agreed payment terms, proactively raising queries with suppliers when discrepancies arise.
  • Collate and input data into cost allocation systems, supporting effective cost control and financial management.
  • Maintain an organised document filing system for easy retrieval, audit compliance, and efficient record-keeping.
  • Provide general support in various commercial functions, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to contributing to overall business objectives.
  • Attend relevant meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company policies, industry trends, and continuously improve professional skills.
