About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Team Manager to join our team at Booker Retail Partner site. As a key member of our Transport Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of our Transport operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the site management team in achieving operational KPIs and service agreements
  • Manage vehicle breakdowns and minimize impact on retailers
  • Analyze Tacho-graph infringement reports and address issues with drivers
  • Liaise with Warehouse Operations to ensure timely loading and departure of loads
  • Ensure legal compliance with transport legislation, including Driver's hours and fleet maintenance
Requirements
  • Commitment to working under pressure and excellent people management skills
  • Ability to develop self and others, with high levels of initiative, focus, and commitment
  • Experience of applying relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, Employment Law, and Discrimination
  • Good understanding of Transport Legislation and its impact on non-compliance
  • Ability to effectively plan labor and resources to deliver operational requirements
  • Effective team worker and confident communicator
  • PC literate in Excel and Word, with WMS experience
  • CPC qualification
