Role Overview
As a Civil Engineering Project Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project management and site teams on all technical aspects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Senior Engineer in delivering a cost-effective and safe engineering service in line with contract, design, client, and project specifications.
  • Overseeing junior engineers and aiding the Construction/Project Manager in operational activities.
  • Conducting inspections as per the Inspection and Test Plan promptly.
  • Producing survey data and red-lined drawings for the completion of As-built records.
  • Ensuring all equipment is calibrated and compliant with company policies and manufacturer requirements.
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors in executing the works.
  • Verifying that all materials on site are appropriate and stored according to manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • The ability to engage in technical discussions with individuals across various levels and disciplines.
  • Experience in a railway environment is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current civil engineering regulations, as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
  • Proven experience with modern surveying equipment and techniques, including GPS.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for N4CE.
