Senior Medical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physicist to lead our Medical Physics service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with radiation safety legislation and upholding the highest standards of care for patients and staff.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will have extensive experience in Diagnostic Radiology physics and radiation protection, with a strong track record in team and service management. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing our Medical Physics service, working closely with the Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues.
- Ensuring adherence to radiation safety regulations and providing expert advice on radiation protection.
- Collaborating with Clinical Radiology to utilise specialist diagnostic imaging equipment across main and peripheral sites.
- Playing a crucial role in shaping a robust medical physics team, appointing key roles, and fostering professional support within regional networks.
