Job Overview

Quarsh is seeking a highly skilled Process Automation Engineer to join our team in the West Midlands. As a key member of our Production Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and systems
  • Collaborate with the Design team to productionize new products and ensure smooth handovers
  • Implement lean improvements through automation and process optimization
  • Develop and maintain test equipment and ensure its accuracy and reliability
  • Work closely with the Maintenance team to resolve technical issues and ensure minimal downtime

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in computer engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming, industrial automation, and control systems
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Rockwell Automation
  • Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and SCADA systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
