Overview:
Intec, a prominent player in the Financial Services sector, is seeking an EUC Lead to enhance their operational capabilities. This role will focus on overseeing the Global End User Computing (EUC) Team, collaborating closely with IT Operations Leadership to manage the comprehensive end user computing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Direction: Formulate and execute the strategic vision for the desktop platform, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and supervise a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Platform Innovation: Collaborate with IT Architecture and Infrastructure teams to design, develop, and implement desktop solutions that meet user requirements and industry standards.
  • Application Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of desktop applications, including imaging and deployment.
  • Standards Definition: Partner with Architecture and IT teams to ascertain customer needs and establish appropriate standards for desktop hardware and peripherals.
  • Security Oversight: Collaborate with the Security team to ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance mandates, effectively mitigating risks.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Ensure the computing environment is consistently maintained, planning and managing the deployment of operating system upgrades and firmware updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess and enhance the performance of the desktop platform, utilizing telemetry tools to identify trends and proactively address issues.
  • Innovation Drive: Foster innovation by investigating new technologies and methodologies to improve the desktop platform.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and value in their contributions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading multi-regional Desktop Engineering in large-scale environments.
  • Operating Systems Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, including their deployment and management.
  • Virtualization Skills: Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Experience with cloud-based desktop solutions, including Microsoft Azure and AWS WorkSpaces.
  • Scripting and Automation: Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automating desktop management tasks.
  • Device Management: Comprehensive understanding of Windows Autopilot technologies.
  • Configuration Management Tools: Expertise in Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
  • Desktop Telemetry: Experience with End User Experience Monitoring software and integration with SIEM tools.
  • Monitoring Skills: Proficient in monitoring tools and techniques to ensure optimal performance of the desktop platform.
  • Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP and VPN.
  • Security Acumen: Strong knowledge of security best practices, including endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
  • Software Deployment: Experience with software deployment methodologies, particularly through Microsoft Intune.
  • Hardware Familiarity: Knowledge of desktop hardware components and peripheral devices.
