Position Title: Project Manager

Company: The Lignum Group

Salary: (£50k - £70k depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Formulate and oversee project timelines, budgets, and plans for rainscreen installations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct site evaluations and assessments to ascertain project needs and limitations.

Team Leadership:

  • Direct and manage project teams, including subcontractors and on-site personnel.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members while ensuring accountability.
  • Offer training and support to team members as required.

Quality Assurance:

  • Guarantee that all work meets the highest quality standards and aligns with project specifications.
  • Perform regular inspections and quality assessments to identify and rectify any issues.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for each project.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for project teams.

Financial Oversight:

  • Administer project budgets and financials, including expense tracking and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, detailing progress, challenges, and solutions.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is advantageous.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the construction or building envelope sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing rainscreen or façade installation projects is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
