Job Title: Residential Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to older adults in our care homes and day centres.

About the Role

This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive difference in the lives of older people. You will work closely with our experienced team to provide person-centred care, support, and companionship to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to older adults in our care homes and day centres
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management
  • Support service users with their physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment that promotes dignity and well-being

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsA caring and compassionate approach to working with older adultsAbility to work flexibly and as part of a teamBasic knowledge of care principles and practices

We will pay for training and support you to work competently against the standards of The Care Certificate. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive difference in the lives of older people, we would like to hear from you.
