About The Stephen James Partnership

The Stephen James Partnership is a global business that is committed to making a positive impact on the world. We are seeking a highly experienced corporate lawyer to join our legal team and support our business on non-transactional work.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in commercial contracting, negotiation, and management. They will work closely with our procurement team to ensure that supplier contracts are managed effectively and will advise on data protection and Freedom of Information Act issues.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage commercial contracts, including information technology, real estate, and travel supplier contracts
  • Maintain and manage commercial contract precedents and templates
  • Work with procurement to ensure supplier contracts are managed appropriately
  • Advise on data protection and Freedom of Information Act issues
  • Support the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel on corporate matters and initiatives

Requirements

  • 7+ years of post-qualification experience as a qualified lawyer in England and Wales
  • Recent in-house corporate experience working on commercial contract negotiation and management
  • Experience of data protection issues, issues arising from activities in developing markets, and working on company registration and maintenance in the UK and abroad is preferred
  • Attention to detail, strong project and time-management skills
