Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SMT Assembly Technician to join our client in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining SMT equipment, ensuring the efficient production of electronic assemblies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently set up and run SMT machines, including automatic screen printers and in-line equipment, to meet production targets.
  • Change components during the production cycle using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Perform accurate and efficient offline setups, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Read and follow manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks in accordance with SMT assembly standards, preferably with IPC knowledge.
  • Identify discrepancies, rectify within the scope of the role, and report to the production team leader.
  • Complete production build documentation in line with ISO9001 quality procedures.
  • Perform basic weekly machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned, in line with company requirements.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an SMT Assembly Technician or similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors, ensuring effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Basic computer skills to handle machine interfaces and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts if required, with a willingness to adapt to changing production demands.
