The Portsmouth Marriott is seeking a skilled Event Support Expert to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. Located near iconic landmarks, our hotel offers a range of amenities, including the Cast Iron Bar & Grill and a fitness centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with the necessary supplies.
  • Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service.
  • Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen.
  • Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the presentation of tableware to ensure it is accessible for guests.
  • Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areas.
  • Lead shifts and serve as a role model to our banqueting team.
  • Lead on the delivery of our range of conferences and events.
  • Organize the day-to-day running of events to ensure a smooth and seamless operation.
  • Support the Restaurant and Bar operation within our Cast Iron Bar and Grill.
  • Work closely and efficiently with our passionate Sales and Events department.

  • You lead by example and are a team player.
  • You can communicate clearly (verbal, listening, writing).
  • You are proactive, reliable, and can support shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
