About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to join our Finance and Commercial Directorate at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). This position is a new role based in the Finance Department and reporting to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the College's annual budget-setting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning and forecasting.
- Provide long-term financial planning support for the College, analyzing financial data and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with budget managers and senior leaders, offering expert financial advice and support.
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with expertise in financial planning, management reporting and leadership within a finance function. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders, combined with your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, will be key to your success in this role.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
- Demonstrable practical knowledge of financial planning, reporting and analysis
- Proven capability in leading and managing a finance team
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software packages
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
