Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to young residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the young people, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the needs of each resident are met.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, promoting open communication and trust.
  • Participate in physical activities and outings, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated empathy and a passion for helping young people, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional care team, with a focus on delivering exceptional care and support.
  • Willingness to work alternate weekends and bank holidays, with flexibility to adapt to changing care needs.
  • Ability to participate in physical activities, with a focus on promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Must be over the age of 21, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Shift Patterns:

  • 7:30 – 16:30 and 13:00 – 22:00 with alternate weekends off.
  • Willingness to do overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis), with a focus on providing 24/7 care and support.
