Join Our Maximising Independence Team

The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) within Adult Social Care is dedicated to early intervention, prevention, and enhancing the autonomy and well-being of individuals. We are seeking innovative and proactive Rehabilitation Specialists to become part of our dynamic team, which serves a diverse community.

This role is uniquely positioned as a broad-spectrum opportunity for a passionate Rehabilitation Specialist, offering numerous chances to engage with individuals in a creative manner, ensuring they are at the center of our efforts. We are committed to providing timely support and guidance, utilizing a range of in-service resources to achieve optimal outcomes for those requiring additional assistance. Our approach is centered on a strengths-based philosophy, employing a conversational method to help individuals define what a fulfilling life means to them.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from both seasoned Rehabilitation Specialists and recent graduates eager to grow. You will collaborate with individuals of varying ages and across multiple service areas. To thrive in this role, your values and creativity will be essential. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, and supportive environment. Regular supervision, both formal and informal, will be provided by a Senior Practitioner in Rehabilitation, along with opportunities for professional development to meet the HCPC's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards.

Professional Development Opportunities

There will be avenues to broaden your expertise and skills, engage in project work, and explore services aligned with your strengths and career goals. Strong communication and IT skills are crucial, as is the ability to inspire and assist others through transitions.

Qualifications Required

Applicants must possess a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. For Band B roles, a minimum of two years' experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist is required.

We also encourage applications from final-year students who are nearing qualification and have not yet obtained their registration.
