Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, engineering standards, and risk assessments to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support Operator Maintainers in identifying and resolving equipment faults.
- Conduct thorough investigations into equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment.
- Review and validate autonomous maintenance activities, escalating any issues that require technical expertise.
- Provide technical guidance and training to Operator Maintainers on maintenance procedures.
- Initiate root cause analysis investigations into equipment issues.
- Participate in planned preventative maintenance activities and line overhauls.
- Record and report equipment downtime and maintenance activities.
- Ensure the availability of consumable spares and lubricants for Operator Maintainers.
- Develop and standardize optimal changeover processes.
- Accountable for withdrawing stock from engineering stores.
- Recognized time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with a relevant qualification (HNC/HND).
- Demonstrable experience of maintenance in an automated FMCG/bakery environment.
- Successful completion of a skills conversion program.
- Experience working in a bakery environment.
- Basic food hygiene qualification.
- Gas training certification.
- 17th Edition Electrical Regulations knowledge.
- Risk Assessment and Method Statement training.
