Job Summary
Fike Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of safety and security solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers, ensuring the optimal functionality and reliability of our installed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform site-based inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical controls and instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering timely solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a reliable service engineer.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service visits, technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions.
- Travel to customer sites as required, often on short notice, to perform maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- HNC (or equivalent experience) qualification in a suitable engineering discipline, ideally with a focus on Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
- Proficient in using Windows, Gmail, Word, Excel.
- Multi-skilled background – electrical, mechanical, controls & instrumentation.
- Valid driving license – preferably clean.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of field maintenance experience – preferably in the industrial sector.
- CompEx trained.
- Knowledge / experience of ATEX environments.
- C&G 2330 (or 2365) parts 2 & 3.
- Ability to use Salesforce.
- IPAF Certificate.
- Health & Safety qualification.
