Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Suiso Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing PLC systems, working closely with our operators to determine requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement PLC systems, utilizing existing code as a basis for future work
  • Collaborate with vendors and other Suiso engineers to specify quotes for sensors and PLC components
  • Design and develop online dashboards to report data from PLCs for remote viewing
  • Develop remote access functions using vendor software
  • Provide technical guidance to Suiso technicians on PLC system installation and maintenance
  • Support other Suiso staff in running equipment, including fault-finding and root-cause analysis
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in controls engineering
  • Experience in relevant software packages for PLC and HMI coding
  • HND or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or similar) preferred
  • Experience in relevant software packages for electrical drawings creation

This is a full-time position based in the Advanced Manufacturing Park near Sheffield. All applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK. UK travel and overseas travel may be required for training courses, customer visits, or supplier meetings.
